This policy outlines how cancellations, refunds, and disputes are handled for consulting services provided by Kashtek. We aim to be fair and transparent in all situations.

Project-Based Work

For fixed-fee projects, a 50% deposit is required before work begins. The remaining 50% is due upon completion.

If a project is cancelled partway through, we will provide a summary of all work completed and any deliverables produced up to that point.

Hourly Work

Hourly work is invoiced monthly for actual time spent. There is no deposit for hourly engagements. You may stop an hourly engagement at any time; you are only responsible for hours already worked.

Retainer Agreements

Monthly retainers are billed on the 1st of each month. Either party may cancel a retainer with 30 days' written notice. If you cancel mid-month, the current month's retainer is not refunded, but no further months will be billed. Unused hours within a retainer period do not roll over or carry a refund.

Disputes

If you are unsatisfied with any deliverable, please contact us within 14 days of receiving it. We will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include revisions at no additional cost. If we cannot reach a resolution, we will negotiate a fair partial refund based on the work completed.

How Refunds Are Issued

Refunds are issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction. Bank transfer and Interac e-Transfer refunds are typically processed within 5 business days.

Payment Processing

All payments are currently processed through Wise. We are in the process of adding credit card payments and will update this page when they become available. Your payment details are never stored by Kashtek. All charges are in the currency agreed upon in your proposal (CAD or USD).

Payment Disputes

If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us directly at info.kashtek@gmail.com before raising a dispute with your bank. We are committed to resolving payment issues quickly and fairly.
